MRRScout ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it minimal: we only collect what's necessary to run the service.
1. Information we collect
Email address
When you join the waitlist or subscribe to the weekly newsletter, we collect your email address. This is the only personal data we store. No passwords, no names, no payment data.
Usage data (anonymous)
We may collect anonymised analytics data such as page views and referral sources to understand how visitors use the site. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
Publicly available product data
MRRScout crawls publicly accessible web pages (Product Hunt, Hacker News, Reddit, GitHub, BetaList, etc.) to discover and analyse publicly launched products. We do not collect or store any personal information from those platforms.
2. How we use your information
- To send you the weekly MRRScout micro-SaaS digest newsletter (if subscribed)
- To notify you when early access opens (if on the waitlist)
- To respond to your messages if you contact us
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Third-party services
We use Buttondown to manage newsletter subscriptions and send weekly emails. Your email address is stored on Buttondown's servers as a subscriber record. Buttondown's privacy policy applies to data processed on their platform: buttondown.email/legal/privacy
Our website and API run on cloud infrastructure. Server logs may contain IP addresses and request metadata for security and debugging purposes. These logs are not shared externally and are retained for a maximum of 30 days.
4. Data retention
Subscriber email addresses are retained for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email, or by contacting us directly. Upon unsubscription, your email will be removed from our active subscriber list and from Buttondown within 30 days.
5. Cookies
MRRScout does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We may use essential session cookies to maintain your login state on the internal admin panel (not accessible to the public). No third-party cookies are set by the main site.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law (including GDPR and CCPA) to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Opt out of newsletter communications at any time

7. Children
MRRScout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
